D candidate at Xidian University, China. Abstract: The performance of multi-channel multi-hop ad hoc network is evaluated in the paper. The performances of multi-hop ad hoc network with single channel IEEE 802.11 MAC for different topologies are given. The scaling laws of throughputs for large scale of ad hoc networks are presented. The theoretical guaranteed throughput bound for multi-channel systems for grid topology are proposed. The results will help to choose the proper parameters for multi-hop ad hoc network evaluations.
